Dear North Haven Families
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Meet the Teacher Open House Night this Thursday, September 25! This is a great opportunity to connect as a school community and learn more about what your child’s year of learning will look like.
There will be three 30-minute blocks of time between 5:30 – 7:00 pm to choose from (5:30, 6:00, OR 6:30). At each time, teachers will present an overview of their class and the year ahead (about 10 minutes) and parents will have some time for questions and to tour the room briefly.
The Parent Association will provide pizza and drinks for families during the evening as they meet and greet each other. Please note: If you are attending the last session, please come early to have pizza, as the school will close at 7:00 pm.
A few important reminders:
- Presentations are designed to share curriculum, expectations, and learning goals. This evening is not intended for individual questions about your child. If you have specific questions, please contact your child’s teacher directly by email to set up a time to connect.
- The information shared is geared towards parents/guardians. We kindly ask that you ensure that students are respectful during presentations and removed from the room by parents if they are making it difficult for others to hear or concentrate.
- We respectfully ask that you do not bring up or ask teachers about the potential upcoming strike. Teachers do not have additional information beyond what is publicly shared by the ATA, the Alberta government and the news media. We receive updates at the same time as the general public and appreciate your understanding and respect regarding this sensitive situation.
Thank you for helping us ensure that Meet the Teacher Night is a positive, informative, and respectful experience for all. We are excited to see you there!
Have a wonderful week.

Surveys for the 2025–2026 School Year
North Haven School students will be participating in online School Perception Surveys in the coming weeks. The surveys are designed to gather valuable feedback about students’ experiences at school.
The survey questions vary depending on the age of the student, and all students will be supported throughout the process with reading and understanding the questions as needed.
Please click the link below to access the Parent Letter for each grade, which provides further details:

Thank you for your support as we work together to ensure a positive school experience for all students.
Volunteer Process and Police Clearances
We welcome volunteers in the classroom, on field trips, and with certain tasks at school. Certain activities or field trips would not be possible without the active participation of our volunteers. Visit the CBE website for more information on volunteering, including the required registration and Police Information Check. If you think you may have a current police clearance on file with the school, please contact the office for confirmation. The police clearance process can occasionally be lengthy, based on the volume of requests, so please be sure to complete this step well in advance of the intended volunteering dates.
Lunch Supervision Registration
Please ensure you register your child(ren) for lunch supervision through your MyCBE account.
