Dear North Haven Families
We are very excited to be seeing all our new and returning students tomorrow, Tuesday, September 2. Last week staff returned to the building to set up for what we know will be another successful year. We were pleased to offer families the opportunity to come in for a short visit to prepare for tomorrow’s first day back to school. It was a pleasure to meet the new and returning students who came in on Friday. We are sure this year is going to be a wonderful school year!
This Week Coming Up
Tuesday, September 2: Students return to school (please read email from your child’s teacher regarding the start of the day). Kindergarten families are reminded of the staggered entry for Kindergarten children: 8:00-9:30 attendance for children with the last names of A-K, and then 10:00-11:30 for those with the last names from L-Z. All other students are in attendance from 8:00am – 2:30pm.
Wednesday and Thursday, September 3 & 4: Regular hours of 8:00am-2:30pm.
Friday, September 5: Kindergarten students attend. Reminder that Friday hours are from 8:00am – 12:00pm.

School Council and Parent Association
You are invited to take part in North Haven School Council and Parent Association meetings. These are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 in the North Haven Learning Commons.
The first meeting is on Tuesday, September 9 at 6:30pm.

Drop off and pick up
A reminder that there are certain areas that are assigned to busses. Please don’t park in these areas during drop off and pick up times. Also note that the staff parking lot is not to be used as a drop off or pick up area either. Please pay attention to the cross walks and use these to cross the street safely.
A reminder that when dropping off your children in the morning, supervision starts at the first bell, when the building is opened at 7:50am. All students are invited to enter the building from between 7:50am – 8:00am at their designated doors. After 8:00am the doors will be locked, and students are to enter through the main entrance for attendance purposes. Prior to the 7:50am bell there is no supervision available.
