Dear North Haven Families 

I hope you have enjoyed the lovely weather this weekend. Last week was a wonderful week with many activities happening in and around the school as well as a successful practice fire drill. We are looking forward to seeing your children tomorrow, and know that it is going to be another great week! 

Coming up this Week 

Meet the Teacher Open House Night 

Parents are invited to attend a meet & greet with their child(ren)’s teacher on Thursday, September 25.  There are three 30-minute blocks of time between 5:30 – 7:00 pm to choose from (5:30, 6:00, OR 6:30). At each time, teachers will present an overview of their class (about 10 minutes) and parents will have some time for questions and for children to tour the room briefly.  

The Parent Association will provide pizza and drinks for families during the evening as they meet and greet each other. Please note: If you are attending the last session, please come early to have pizza, as the school will close at 7 pm.  

“Away for the Day” Mobile Device Policy 

We continue to be an “away for the day” school with respect to personal mobile devices (such as cell phones). This means that any phones at school must powered down and stored away in backpacks for the entire day while the student is in the building. Students who have phones out at school will be asked to check them into the office for the day and, in the case of multiple infractions, a parent/guardian may need to come and collect the device. Exemptions are provided for health and medical needs, to support specialized learning needs, and for educational purposes.
