Dear Parents & Guardians

This will be the last regular weekly update of the year, as we welcome summer. 

This upcoming week can be a very emotional week for students. It can be sad and bittersweet, but it can also be very exciting as well. Learning will continue to happen throughout the week.  We will be taking time to celebrate students, have an activity day, do some housekeeping, and say goodbye to friends who are going on to new schools next year - some here in Calgary and others further away. 

The Grade 6 Farewell is opportunity to say goodbye to the grade 6 students who will be moving on to their next step in education. Grade 6 parents are invited to attend this assembly on Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 am.  

The last day of school is Thursday, which is an early dismissal day. The bells and busing will follow our Friday schedule with dismissal at 12:05 pm.  

On Wednesday afternoon, there will be an opportunity for students to clean up their desks and take home their items for the year.  Please send a bag with your child that can accommodate their desk items.  Indoor shoes will be the only items not sent home as there is still school on Thursday. 

Sports day activities will be from 8:30 – 10:30 am. Classes will have the opportunity to rotate through activities that they have learned throughout the year as well as some new and exciting ones.  The School Council will be supplying freezies for students as a snack during the morning rotations.

Report Cards 

June report cards will be made available online through MyCBE on June 26 and will be available to view, download and print until July 26. After this time, they will no longer be accessible via MyCBE.  

Once logged in, select the “Report Card / Student Info on the left Navigation menu, then the Report Card tab to view, download or print the report card. 

If a parent/legal guardian is unable to access the online report card, please contact the school during school hours to arrange a time to collect a printed copy. 

Upcoming Dates  

Thursday, August 29 – First day of school for Grade 1 – 6 students. 

Friday, August 30 – First day of school for kindergarten students.
