North Haven families
We are now entering the last week of the 2024-2025 year. Thank you to all who have helped make this a great year!
We would like to take this time to share our gratitude for the teachers and support staff who are moving on to new positions next year. We would like to thank Ms. Coutts (Grade 1-2), Ms. Maslak (PLP), Ms. Mittal (Grade 5-6), Mrs. O’Brien (Grade 3-4), Ms. Townend (EA), Ms. Amir (lunchroom), Ms. Cornelius (lunchroom), and Ms. Walt (lunchroom) for all their hard work throughout the year. We wish them all the best in the next chapter of their lives.
We would also like to introduce and welcome the new staff members who will be joining us next year, Mrs. A. Stewart (PLP), Mrs. Fold (lunchroom) and Mrs. Akther (EA, PLP). We have also had a new addition in the last month that we have been remiss to introduce - Mr. Tabon is our evening facility operator that joined us last month.
Lost and Found
Last call for students and families to pick up any lost and found items. Items will be available until June 26, when they will be packed up and donated to Goodwill.
Next Year Planning – 2025-2026
As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, we kindly ask families of students currently in kindergarten to Grade 5 who do not plan to attend North Haven School next year (and have not let us know), to notify us as soon as possible. You can do so by emailing us at northhaven@cbe.ab.ca Early notice helps us support a smooth and seamless transition for your child.
Reminder to Pay Your Fees
If you have not checked your MyCBE account recently, please take a moment to log in and review any outstanding fees. This platform is where families manage payments for school field trips and activities.
Please remember that field trips and activities are cost neutral, meaning the school does not make a profit from them. If unpaid fees continue to accumulate, we may need to reduce the number of trips and activities offered throughout the year. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Volunteers Wanted for Sports Day! June 26
We are having a “beach day” theme for this year’s event! We are still looking for a few volunteers to help run stations on sports day, which will be held on the last morning of school – June 26. If you are available and have a valid police check, please sign up here: SIGN UP! - Mrs. Kessler will be reaching out to volunteers by Monday with details for the morning.
Grade 6 Farewell
June brings many milestones and activities for our students - one being the Grade 6 Farewell Assembly. We would like to invite Grade 6 parents to our Farewell Assembly on June 25 at 10:30 a.m.
