North Haven families

There are a number of important messages in this week’s message. Please read it carefully.

Carrington and Livingston Families

As you know, North Haven School currently serves as the overflow school for students from the Livingston and Carrington communities. As space becomes available at the designated schools, families will receive notification regarding their child’s or children’s transition to the designated school. These communications will come directly from either Northern Lights or Cambrian Heights School, depending on your community.  To ensure a smooth process, please refrain from contacting the schools until you have received official notification. This will help both schools manage their communications effectively. Information from these schools should be shared by the end of the week.

Transportation Registration Reminder

Sunday, June 22 is the deadline for bus service registration for the 2025-2026 school year.

For students who are moving schools for next year this step is crucial and must be taken by the deadline. North Haven School currently has less than 50% of bus riders registered for next year.  All students registered after the deadline will be assigned to a bus on a first come, first served basis. We have been told that with the increase in demand for buses this year those who register after June 22 could wait months before getting access to a bus.

All bus students, including those who will be moving schools that require busing, need to register immediately.

News from our Library

Friendly reminder: As we approach the end of the school year, all library books are now due back to school. Having all library books returned promptly helps us prepare our collection for the upcoming year and ensures that all students will have access to the resources they need.  Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our library organized and ready for the next school year!

Next Year Planning – 2025-2026

As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, we kindly ask families of students currently in kindergarten to Grade 5 who do not plan to attend North Haven School next year (and have not let us know) to notify us as soon as possible. You can do so by emailing us at northhaven@cbe.ab.ca  Early notice helps us support a smooth and seamless transition for your child.

Reminder to Pay Your Fees

If you have not checked your MyCBE account recently, please take a moment to log in and review any outstanding fees. This platform is where families manage payments for school field trips and activities.

Please remember that field trips and activities are cost neutral, meaning the school does not make a profit from them. If unpaid fees continue to accumulate, we may need to reduce the number of trips and activities offered throughout the year.  Thank you for your understanding and support!

Volunteers Wanted for Sports Day! June 26

All Sport One Day 2025

All Sport One Day is a fantastic, free sport discovery event designed specifically for children and youth aged 6 to 17. It offers a unique opportunity for young participants to try out a new sport or physical activity in a fun and supportive environment.

Whether your child is curious about learning a new skill or simply eager to get active, this event is an excellent way to introduce them to the world of sports without any financial commitment. By participating, kids can explore different sports, discover their interests, and potentially find a new passion, all while making new friends and staying active.

All Sport One Day 2025 will be held on Saturday, June 21 and Saturday, Aug. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
