We hope that you have been enjoying the warmer weather (finally!). Please read on for a few important messages:  

Pink Shirt Day 

Wednesday, February 26 is Pink Shirt Day. Students are encouraged to wear pink or red on Wednesday to show their support for reducing bullying and conflict and increasing inclusion and positive relationships.

Non-instructional Day 

Just a reminder there is no school for students on Friday, February 28, 2025. North Haven staff will be at school and engaged in Professional Learning. 

Labour Action 

During the Labour Action by CUPE Local 40, CBE is prioritizing in-person learning. We are committed to supporting student learning and well-being while maintaining safe and welcoming school environments for students, staff and families. 

During the labour action, all CBE schools and buildings will remain open, and classes will continue. However, a strike will have an impact on schools and operations, and some activities. PLEASE NOTE: This strike may affect the start time of our Trickster Residency, as some night cleaners will be coming in to do some basic cleaning. We are seeking clarification and will let parents know as soon as possible.  

Trickster Residency Showcase 

We are excited to host drama workshops next week, led by Trickster staff. Students will learn about what it means to belong as they engage in theatre arts.  

We are asking ALL families to complete this form ASAP to receive tickets to the show! Do not fill it out if you have already done so.  
 
You can also still sign up to volunteer during the Trickster workshops (if you have CBE security clearance) by signing up HERE.  

We are holding onto the tickets until early in the week, as we hear final details about the show’s timing (due to the CUPE worker strike). Everyone who requested additional tickets so far will be accommodated.
