Parents/Guardians,

We had a busy week! Students were engaged and building skills during the week-long soccer residency, they arrived with big smiles on class photo day, grade 4-5 classes visited Heritage Park, and many grade 1 and 6 students received vaccinations.

Thank you to the North Haven Parent Association for funding our soccer residency. We look forward to our upcoming lacrosse residency!

Thank you also to the parents who have let us know about their plans for next year. As we work to budget and hire for the coming year, it is very helpful to have accurate enrollment information. If your family plans to move out of the area, please let us know! You can email northhaven@cbe.ab.ca

We have a few staffing updates to let you know about

  • This is Kim Manser’s last week at the school. She has been the acting principal as Cat Gammell has been recovering. Kim has been an amazing support to staff and students during her time here and will be missed.
  • We have hired Carla Cornelius to take over for Ms. O’s position in the lunchroom. Ms. O is taking a leave of absence. Carla will begin on May 6.
  • Welcome to Brita Pederson who will be teaching in division 1 and 2 to support classes with higher numbers.
  • Welcome to Huma Rauf, who will be supporting as an EA in Kindergarten
