North Haven families
Transportation and Bell Times
We hope you had an opportunity to review the email regarding transportation service and bell time changes shared this past week.
For the 2025-26 school year, our bell times are:
8:00am – 2:30pm, with early dismissal Friday at 12:00pm
More information including the next year calendar will be available later in the Spring.
Federal Election Polling Station
We would like to inform you that North Haven school will once again be used as a polling station for the Federal Election. The polling station will be open from 7:30am to 7:30pm on Monday April 28, 2025. We are working with Elections Canada to ensure that students learning is not disrupted during the day.
Brown Bag Lunches
We have partnered with the organization Brown Bagging for Kids to assist parents who need additional support with daily lunches. This organization delivers lunches, including a sandwich and fruits/veggies for daily lunches. If your family needs this community support, please email Pam Kessler at pckessler@cbe.ab.ca. You can learn more about the program here: https://bb4ck.org/
Cyber Safety
Our hope is to help families have small opportunities to talk about cyber safety- and find tools to help you. We hope to include a resource each week for you to watch and use.
This Week: Get Cyber safe
Get CyberSafe is a national public awareness campaign created to inform Canadians about cyber security and the simple steps they can take to protect themselves online.

Food Security
Are you looking for a way to reduce food waste and save money?
With prices soaring and budgets stretched, consumers are turning increasingly to so-called imperfect food to save on produce that a fresh crop of online grocers says is just as tasty — if a little gnarled.
Odd Bunch is now available in Calgary.
The Odd Bunch | Save up to 50% on your groceries!
‘Odd Bunch’ opened its doors in 2022 in Ontario with the idea of reducing the amount of food that finds its way to a landfill. Odd Bunch partners with Canadian farms and distributors to rescue surplus and “imperfect” produce.
Billions of pounds of Canadian produce go to waste every year, much of it because it fails to live up to the strict cosmetic criteria adhered to by the retail industry. Grocery stores have strict cosmetic standards and anything that looks or feels a little different is rejected or dumped. The food that is gathered and sold to Odd Bunch was rejected for retail sale, but that doesn’t mean it is an inferior product. With Odd Bunch, you can choose from 7 preset box types. As the produce market is volatile, selections vary week to week. The boxes come in two different sizes offering a variety of fruit and vegetables.
Information is updated on the website and socials every Monday at approximately 2:00pm.
Have a great week,
Cat & Pam
