Dear North Haven Families, 

We had a great first few days back in school, and we were so happy to see everyone’s smiling faces. We want to extend our gratitude to families again for your understanding as we focus our attention on teaching and learning in classrooms with our students over the coming weeks. Any updates or changes to the school calendar/schedule will continue to be communicated as we move forward. 

School Council and Parent Association Information 

The November 4 meeting has been cancelled. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, December 2. 

A huge thank-you to all families and volunteers who helped with the recent Casino fundraiser—your time and effort are greatly appreciated!

Remembrance Day Assembly   

We will be holding our Remembrance Day Assembly this Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10:40am. You are invited to join us for this very important assembly. Due to tight timelines, this will be a pared-down version of what you may have seen in previous years; however, we will still take this time to honour our veterans and those currently serving in the military.  

If you would like to contribute to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, please send your child with your donation. We will ensure that all contributions are placed in the collection box located in the school office.  

Students who are members of Cubs, Scouts, Girl Guides, or youth military organizations are encouraged to wear their uniforms on Friday.  

A special thank you to our Grade 3&4 team for leading this assembly.   

Veterans Food Bank: 

Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at the school throughout this week. 

Fall Break Nov. 10-12   

Fall break will proceed as scheduled. After careful consideration, CBE decided that changing the school calendar at this time would impact staffing, transportation, as well as family plans already in place. If other adjustments to the school calendar are necessary, families will be notified as early as possible.  

Immunization Program 

Immunizations through AHS have been rescheduled to December 5th for grade 6 students.  

School Photo Day   

We have re-scheduled our Lifetouch Photo Day for December 10th, this will be for individual photos.
