Dear North Haven Families, 

For student safety, we held indoor recesses at the end of last week due to extreme cold temperatures. We will continue to go outside for recess unless temperatures fall below -20°C. With this week’s forecast, we expect to be outdoors, so please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather, including warm coats, hats, mittens, snow pants, and boots. 

This is our final week of school before Winter Break. Please note that the school office will be closed during the break and will reopen on January 5. 

Thank you to the families who have already dropped off items for Outreach Night. We understand that evenings can be busy, and we truly appreciate your support—whether through donations or by attending. We look forward to seeing families who are able to join us on Tuesday evening. 

North Haven Outreach Night 
Tuesday, December 16 | 5:00–6:30 p.m. 

This annual event brings our community together in support of local charities and initiatives. Throughout the evening, families can participate in hands-on activities such as creating gift bags, cards, notes of encouragement and helping to fill socks for donation as well as being able to join in a sign-along in the Music room from 6:00 – 6:30pm. 

We would also like to thank the Parent Association for generously providing Timbits, which will be enjoyed alongside hot chocolate available throughout the evening. 

Families are welcome to drop off donations at the school. Requested items include kids’ winter outerwear (toques, mittens, snowsuits), backpacks, toiletries, pantry items (canned goods), toys and puzzles, travel-size personal care items, old cell phones or tablets, used batteries, and new toy donations. • Thursday – Spirit Day: Pajama Day! Students are encouraged to wear school-appropriate and warm pajamas. 
• Thursday – Healthy Hunger Snack Day: Tim Hortons snacks will be provided for students who pre-ordered.
