Dear North Haven Families, 

We hope you have been enjoying the Family Day long weekend and finding time to relax and connect with those closest to you. This is a friendly reminder that there is no school tomorrow, February 16, in observance of Family Day. We look forward to welcoming students back the following day. 

As we return to school, we are anticipating some weather changes. Please ensure that students are dressed appropriately for outdoor recess, including warm layers, hats, mittens, and proper footwear. 

We are also looking to refresh our supply of backup clothing for students who may need a change during the day. If your family has any gently used clothing items (such as pants, leggings, shirts, sweatshirts or socks) that you are able to donate, we would be very grateful. These items are incredibly helpful in supporting students when unexpected spills or accidents occur. 

We would also like to acknowledge that many families in our community may be celebrating or observing important events this week, including Lunar New Year, the beginning of Lent, and Ramadan. We recognize and value the diversity of traditions and faiths within our school community and wish all families meaningful and peaceful observances. 

Finally, we are pleased to welcome Mrs. Uloma Okodugha to the Grade 3/4 team. With additional CBE funding, we have been able to hire an extra teacher to reduce class sizes and continue strengthening supports for students.
