Dear North Haven Families, 

We hope you are staying warm as winter settles in. Please ensure students come dressed for the weather each day—jackets, mittens/gloves, hats, and boots help keep outdoor play safe and comfortable. 

We want to share an important update regarding school designations for Carrington. Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, families new to Carrington will be designated to Alex Munro School. Current Carrington families at North Haven will not be recalled to Northern Lights or Alex Munro School and will remain part of our pack moving forward. 

Our Grade 6 students have been learning about journalism and have taken on the exciting leadership role of creating a school newspaper. They launched their first edition by interviewing Grades 3–4 about their Remembrance Day assembly. We invite you to take a moment to read their work.  Read the North Haven Times. 

Photo retakes will take place on Tuesday morning, December 9. 

North Haven Outreach Night — Tuesday, December 16 (5:00 – 6:30pm) 
This annual event brings our community together in support of local charities and initiatives. Families may contribute items ahead of time or bring them the night of the event. Full details can be found in the Outreach Night Parent Invite.

• Used batteries (City of Calgary recycling) 
• Toy donations (Toy Mountain partnership with Haven House Café)
