Staffing Update – Welcome Back to Principal Cat Gammell! Ms. Gammell is excited to be back at North Haven. She is returning to work on a gradual basis – increasing her hours at work each week. Acting Principal, Kim Manser will continue to support North Haven during this transition.
Spirit Day: Anything but a Backpack Day – Students are invited to have a little fun by carrying what would normally be placed in their school backpack in some other container. Here’s your chance to be creative!
No School on Friday, April 19 – Just a reminder that there is no school for students on this day. It is a system-wide professional development day for Teachers.
Lego Club – Students in grades 1-3 will have the opportunity to participate in Lego Club at lunchtime beginning in May. If anyone has Lego that they no longer need, we are looking for donations to add to our collection. Any Lego donations would be greatly appreciated.
Message from Mrs. Carr in the Library - I would like to thank everyone that supported the Book Fair. We had total sales of $4,856 which allowed us to pick out $2,162 in new books for the library and classrooms.
A huge thank you to the people who volunteered, for without your help it would not have been so successful.
Volunteers Needed – Mrs. Carr is looking for a couple of volunteers to help in the library. We have been able to purchase new books that need to be processed before they can be put on the shelves. If anyone is interested in helping, please contact her directly at slcarr@cbe.ab.ca
